What's in our name?
 

You may have noticed that our name, Mielles Taillear Estates, incorporates the Scottish spelling of two names, Miles and Taylor. As well as embracing our respect for the principled methods of Scottish property law, our company name also commemorates the fact that one of the owner’s sons, Taillear, was born in Scotland, where his name was entered as Taillear on his birth certificate.

Mielles Taillear Estates progressed and developed to the professional MTE brand as we are today; and since April 2008, MTE is now managed under Mike Kidd Limited trading as MTE Property Services.
 
Our company colours – from the tartan of the Taylor clan
 

The blue and green company colours we’ve chosen for our estate agency are based on the tartan of the Taylor clan, who are recognised as a sept (or family) within the Clan Cameron, which merged with the Gordon Clan. This clan claims descent from a natural son of the 14th century chief of Lochiel, known as Taillear Dubhatualghe.
